Apparently, skydiving isn't enough for some people. Those people are crazy. What's wrong with hurtling yourself into the abyss and freefalling until a thin sheet of fabric saves your life (maybe). Sounds dangerous enough to me. Not these people. They needed an extra element of "OmmyGodI'mgonnadie!!!!!!!" added to the equation. So, here's a video of skydiving with a kayak.
That looks dangerous and all, but there aren't enough sharp objects for my liking. Anyway we can do the same thing only with scissors?
I'm kidding. Don't do that.

Thursday's link of the day!!
I like super slow motion! Cameras that shoot at a very high speed, so that when you play it back at normal speed, the playback is a super high resolution slow motion effect. It makes even the most mundane things look awesome! For example, dogs catching dog treats!

If you've ever done a contest at a sporting event, you know the pressure. The thousands of fans, the cameras in your face. So, it sucks way worse if something embarassing happens to you at that exact moment.
With that in mind, I present a video called "Man tries to dunk a basketball after jumping on a trampoline, but instead smashes his face on the rim in front of thousands of people at a Portland Trail Blazers game"
Ow.

Ok Go is a band that does not do their music videos halfway. A couple years ago, they did one with an elaborate treadmill dance routine which got a zillion hits on youtube. They released a new video yesterday, and it's nothing short of impressive. This looks like it was done all in one shot. Who knows how many takes it took to get it done.

Thanks to Dave from proAggressive for sharing this link...
As a certain pair of teachers discovered this week, once something hits the internet, it is officially uncontrollable. If it goes online, it now belongs to the entire planet. Scary, and with everyone having a camera, video camera and internet connection on their blackberry, it can happen anywhere, at anytime.
You'd figure that would make people, especially famous people very cautious. Not always the case. I present to you......
www.drunkathlete.com
AS the name of the website implies, it's pictures that people have taken of famous sports figures, out for a night on the town, hammered!!! Check it out.

Every now and again, you're faced with an impossible choice. Which is more awesome? A bunch of crazy Russians jumping off a 5 story building into a snow pile? Or a kid trying to do the hammer throw, but forgetting to let go and smashing his face into the ground?
Oh man! I can't decide!!! Russians? Hammer throw?!?! Ahhhhh!!!! I can't decide which is going to be the Link of the Day!!!!
So, yeah. Here's both.

Tuesday Linkeeee!!!
Hey. Hopefully you saw the Google Superbowl ad. Though, why Google feels the need to advertise is beyond me. Anyway. The commercial was a pretty cool one, telling a love story through a series of searches on Google. If you missed it, here it is.
Nicely done. Easy to parody too! Here's the same ad, based on Tiger Woods' searches.

Here's a guy that has a lot of time on his hands, and will make you feel bad about your own construction skills. Check out this guy's homemade roller coaster that he put together in his back yard!
I'm keeping my kids away from this link, lest they ask me why I've never built them a rollercoaster.

Yo. So the Superbowl is partly about the football, and partly about the commercials. If you believe the experts (including Coach), Indy's going to do walk all over the Saints. So the game itself could be boring. The commercials, for the most part, have already leaked to the internet. Also, we mostly can't even see them in Canada. So the game's starting to look like it might be a let down. That doesn't mean that we can't take a fond look down memory lane though. For your viewing pleasure....the top 10 Superbowl ads of all time.
Happy footballing.

Ha ha ha! There are a whole series of these videos. Part of the missions in Afganistan and Iraq, involve training the peoples of the respective countries to defend and police themselves. The only way to get out of their countries, is to ensure they can take care of themselves.
During this training, it has been apparent on several occasions, that there is one key cultural difference between the West and the Middle East. That difference is.....jumping jacks! Enjoy the following videos of Iraqi and Afgan trainees failing miserably at jumping jacks!
They are, however, awesome at push ups!

This is kinda creeeeeeeeeeepy. Some musician with too much time on his hands had a theory about DaVinci's famous painting, The Last Supper. Knowing that DaVinci was a true Rennaisance man, who was good at lots and lots of stuff (painting, math, music, inventing, katanas, pizza) he theorized that there was hidden music in the painting.
I know, I know. It sounds like the DaVinci Code, right?
Except there might actually be something to this.
Here's a picture of The Last Supper

Pretty standard, we're all familiar with that. Now, music guy thinks that the arrangement of the bread rolls, and the hands of Jesus and the Apostles looks kind of like notes on a staff. He tries this as a theory, and plays that as a song.
and the song sucks.
Guy is understandably disapointed. until he realizes that Davinci didn't read and write left to right like you or I, but he wrote RIGHT TO LEFT! So, he played the song "backwards". Check out this video, and tell me if you think he has something...
Hmmmmm. Creepy. It could be, the first thing that ever had secret backwards messages was The Last Supper! Suck it Led Zeppelin!

I get it. It's very easy to be cynical. However, even in the worst circumstances, if you have faith, nothing is impossible. Check out this video of 8 year old Kiki being rescued after being buried in the rubble in Haiti for over a week....
