Titanic Is Back?!

Historically, that’s kind of impossible, but leave it up to B-Movie makers The Asylum...and it’s done!

Adding to their already long list of what they call “mockbusters”, we have 'Titanic II'. This time around, though, the whole film takes place in present time with somebody building a new boat called, what else, Titanic 2:

Now that's what I call a car-crash-esque trailer!

Ya know...you don’t want to look, but you can’t turn away?

- Pamela Roz Out.

Awesome pranks! And by awesome, I mean totally evil

If you ever do this to me, it means you're evil.

Prank 1. Pilot and his buddy in an airplane when the pilot pretends to pass out. Hilarity, and pants-crapping terror ensue.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIJrwP3WavM&feature=player_embedded

Prank 2. Guy is set to go bungee jumping, when this happens.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DlEttF-VcI&feature=PlayList&p=598BCE2A80A06819&playnext=1&index=24

hahaha! Good one guys! Now if you could just call 911, because I just had a giant heart attack.

Your Childhood In A Toy-Filler Nutshell!

Remember when we had simple toys?

These three are all fading memorie what with the Lego monstrosities, Nerf machine guns and pratically full-size personal vehicles some kids have nowadays, but let us reminisce even further with more Childhood Toy and Games From The 80's!

How to smuggle a dude across the border

There's always stuff being smuggled into the States from Mexico. Drugs, booze...and people. You gotta admire this guys effort. He had the patience to be sewn into a fake seat of a minivan, and then try to sit still for the entire process of crossing the border. How he got caught, I don't know. He probably sneezed or something. A plus for effort man. Check the picture

Scott Pilgrim vs the World

On August 13th, a movie called "Scott Pilgrim vs the World" hits theatres. Here are the reasons I am very excited.

1) It's based on a comic, and I'm a geek.
2) The comic was really, really good.
3) The comic was created by a Canadian, and set in Canada
4) The comic and movie both have about a zillion references to old school videogames
5) Did I mention I'm a geek?

Check out the trailer. Let me know whatchoo think.

California Gurls Like You've Never Seen Before!

Going To The Gym vs. Doing Chores?

It's been discovered that the latter can be more effective!

In terms of burning 100 calories, we have:

-Changing the sheets on your bed - 50 minutes
- Ironing - 45 minutes
- Cooking - 36 minutes
- General House Cleaning - 30 Minutes
- Vacuuming - 26 minutes
- Sweeping - 22 minutes
- Gardening - 20 minutes
- Mowing The Lawn - 14 minutes with a push mower...obviously.

Happy cleaning!

Double Rainbow vs Auto Tune

Personally, I think the double rainbow thing is a little played out. I found this amusing tho.

Someone took the guy freaking out about the double rainbow, applied a T-Pain-esque amount of auto tune to it, and made a song. It's actually kind of awesome

Adopt a Vampire!

Okay so maybe it’s not so real, but the arguments the couple continue to have over this new addition to the family are very true to life!

And really...you know if Twilight hardcores could make it real...they would!!

Reality has hit Lindsay Lohan.

"She's scared as anyone would be," Lohan's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley said Tuesday after the actress, 24, was handcuffed and taken to jail. "But she's resolute and she's doing it."

"She asks for your prayers and support," adds Chapman Holley, who says Lohan "is accepting responsibility and [has] stepped up to the plate and is doing what has been asked of her."

Social Networking Like You've Never Seen Before

I'm not sure if it all being a bit more "open" is the right way to put it...but it's a start:

#1 - Date My Single Kid: This one's for women over 50, who are trying to get their somewhat-grown-up kids to actually grow up and settle down.

#2 - Vampire Freaks: For people who are into...what what you'd think or hope. not what you think they're into. It's basically for Goth types who love metal and stuff.

#3 - Goth Passions: Similar to the above, but more focussed on dating where you can "meet other Goth singles into clubbing, goth literature, raves, or the occult."

#4 - Eons: This is a social networking site for Baby Boomers...aka people born between 1946 and 1964.

#5 - Line For Heaven: As stated on the site, "why waste your time on other sites, meeting creepy strangers, when you could get closer to 'God' on our site?" You can even browse through profiles using the 'God's Eye View' to see who's waiting in Line for Heaven.

And last, but CERTAINLY not least...

#6 - Stache Passions: This one's for people who dig...can you guess?! MOUSTACHES! They provide, quote, "an open environment where mustache wearers can revel in the sitewide love bestowed upon them by a community of stache afficianados."

Creepy...but so awesome.

It's Time To Get Naked!

Okay not right NOW so don’t get all free and easy at the office or in the middle of a meal, but this Saturday at 2pm...you could be!

The American Association For Nude Recreation are asking for your help in breaking the record for the biggest skinny dip ever. Last year had over 13,600 people all across North America skinny dipping at the same time, which is a pretty solid number, but they want to get it even higher!

There aren't any participating places here in Winnipeg, but about 100 locations overall, a few of which have to be just a couple hours away! Check those out at the above link (warning...bare backsides) and cross your fingers for those involved that the predicted warm weather turns out to be a reality...

Manitoba Strawberries!!!

Heading out to do some strawberry pickin!?

1. Go online or call ahead and check to make sure the market (or the U-pick is open). Bring change in case you have to pay for parking. Take some water, a hat, sunscreen and bug spray.

2. If you have a shopping cart (anything on wheels) it will make life easier. You don't want to be juggling bags while you pick out produce.

3. If you're taking home berries, remove them from those cardboard pint containers right away. If the cardboard gets damp it will stay that way and it's not good for the berries. Empty the containers and check for squashed or damaged fruit. Do not rinse until you are ready to eat! Place the berries loosely in a dry container, eat them within 2 to 4 days.

Here are just a few websites that have all the skinny on fresh fruits and vegetables in Manitoba this summer. You can Google "u-pick berries Manitoba" and "farmers markets Manitoba" for even more links.

-- www.manitobafarmersmarkets.ca -- The Farmers' Markets Association of Manitoba has information, links and lists of their member markets.

-- www.stnorbertfarmersmarket.ca -- Inside the St. Norbert Farmers Market website you'll find a really great page with the harvest schedule so you'll have and idea what you might find when you get onsite.

-- www.gov.mb.ca/agriculture/food/upick/markets.html -- This is the Manitoba Local Produce Guide, which is downloadable. It contains a produce guide, tips, links, phone numbers and maps.

-- www.pfga.com -- The Prairie Fruit Growers Association Berry Hotline: 253-PICK (253-7425) is up and running now until the first week in August.
