At just 32 years old, the world lost actress Brittany Murphy on Sunday morning. It was originally said she had a heart attack following a few days of "not feeling well", though now the idea of drug use has come into play. We've lost TOO MANY great talents this way!!

We all know Brittany Murphy from many different films over the years, but I think it's safe to say, her role as "Tai" in "Clueless" is one that sticks out the most:

Even though Lil Wayne’s Rebirth was delayed — yet again — songs continue to leak off Weezy’s rap-rock project. Today brings perhaps one of the most anticipated tracks from the oft-postponed LP: “Drop the World,” Wayne’s collaboration with Eminem. Listen to the track over at Nah Right. As Rolling Stone previously reported, Rebirth wrapped up its year of aborted 2009 release dates by pushing back from December 21st to February 1st, or so it stands now.

The ladies can be seen together in a new ad for MAC Makeup! I guess Gaga could be compared to a millenium version of Cyndi -- girls who just want to have fun! The bleached blonde singers are the new faces of MAC's Viva Glam Spring 2010 range, which is set to debut in February.


I LOVE Viva Glam by MAC and Cyndi Lauper! haha Lady Gaga is growing on me... this ad is quite nice!

YUCK!

Now this is kind of yucky!!! The New York City Health Department has released an intentionally disgusting ad in an effort to keep people from drinking sugary drinks... The ad shows a man drinking a glass of what looks like fat!!! Lumpy yellowy-orange glop comes out of the soda can that he's just opened and poured in a glass & as he drinks it, globs of fat drip all over his face!!!! The message then says that drinking just one can of soda a day can add up to 10 pounds of weight in a year!!!

What do you think of shock video ads like this one?! I can understand the drunk driving one or horrible speeding ones they had on a couple of years ago, but this one doesn't seem shocking enough to get a reaction out of me--it's just gross!

Lions, Tigers & Bears?!?!

You saw it on onlythegoodstuff.ca and you're not sure if you should vote it GOOD or NOT GOOD cause you're not exactly sure what it's about?! Well, here is the story:

Baloo the bear, Leo the Lion and Shere Khan the tiger formed the most unusual of friendships!

Rescued as cubs 8 years ago during a police drugs raid (they were status symbols for the drug lords) in Atlanta, Georgia, the decision was made to keep them together when they arrived at the animal rescue centre. Since, they've grown into an adorable, unlikely family! A real BLT (bear, Lion, Tiger!!) totally oblivious to the fact that in any other circumstance they would not be friends! They eat, sleep and play together -- too cute!!!

Now you know! I vote GOOD!!

Literally!!!! It's an out of this world beer... why?! Because the barley it was made of was grown in space!!!

Space Barley, Sapporo's latest brew, was made with galactic barley that grew aboard the International Space Station for 5 months. It's a very limited batch, with only 1,500 Space Barley beers produced. At 20$ a pop, its taste is apparently delicious, but not extra-terrestrial!!! How can you purchase it?! Saturday Night Live Cover Tiger Woods Debacle

And the Tiger Woods controversy continues!

I should say controversies since the mysterious car crash followed by the coming out of now 10 women he’s allegedly had affairs with and the fact that his wife may be a touch off her rocker for those reason and others

I'm gonna be honest, I didn’t pay much attention to the happenings until it was all covered on Saturday Night Live:



Leave it up to them to cover all the bases and take them all to the next level which many aren’t happy about in terms of it being too much, too soon and somewhat poking fun at the issue of domestic violence.

That said, according to a poll on SNL’s website, 80% of viewers don’t think the show went too far at all.

Weezer's frontman hospitalised...

Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo was hospitalized yesterday (December 6th) in upstate New York after his tour bus crashed. The bus was on its way from Toronto to Boston, when it hit a patch of black ice and slid across the highway before landing in a ditch.

Cuomo was taken to Hospital after EMTs used the jaws of life to remove him from the back lounge of the bus, where he had been sealed inside due to internal damage to the vehicle. According to the band's website, he sustained three broken ribs, an injury to his lower leg and some internal injuries, which were said to be minor.

Their December tour dates have been cancelled.

Evil Elf!

William Caldwell decided to dress up as an elf, visit the local mall and threaten Santa with dynamite! Well, after evacuating the mall, they discovered that there was no dynamite, but he still did it! lol He is being detained with charges of having a hoax device (2 bags full of santa and elf hats) and uttering terrorist threats!!!



He's definitely on the naughty list!

These two actually had a beef a couple years back when West took a dig at Leto when the 30 Seconds to Mars won an award, but it appears they've become friends since then... Good enough friends to collaborate on a new tune!!

It's called Hurricane and I'm actually kind of loving it. The track mainly features Leto's voice, but the electronic beats reminds us of kanye's 808s & Heartbreak, and he pops in a couple of times to sing.

We live in a crazy time, where people are facebook-ing and tweeting all the time from their phones, homes...pretty much anywhere and at anytime. Like this couple who were at the altar getting married when they wanted to update their relationship status.




“This was just done to be funny – we really don’t Facebook THAT often :),” the groom writes in a description of the wedding footage, which is quickly becoming a YouTube sensation. “I have a lot of family scattered around the country and we all use Facebook a lot to keep in touch. Tiger Woods finally released a statement on his website and it reads as follow:

"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.

Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect.

But no matter how intense curiosity about public figures can be, there is an important and deep principle at stake which is the right to some simple, human measure of privacy. I realize there are some who don't share my view on that. But for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one's own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn't have to mean public confessions.

Whatever regrets I have about letting my family down have been shared with and felt by us alone. I have given this a lot of reflection and thought and I believe that there is a point at which I must stick to that principle even though it's difficult.

One from Woods begins: "I will wear you out..."

In what was an amazingly exciting last quarter, The Montreal Alouettes defeated the Saskatchewan Roughriders 28-27 in the final seconds of the Grey Cup game last night! We had just missed a 2 point conversion, Duval had been having a horrible night (7 yard punt--really?!) and was up for the winning field goal... he sets it up, kicks and MISSED!!! NOOOOOOOO! That's when we all notice the flags on the play... WHAT HAPPENNED?? The Riders had one too many men on the field!!! A 13th man!!! A 2nd chance for Duval!!! A 3 POINT WINNING FIELD GOAL!!! Woohoooooo!!!!

Local Photographers help deserving families this Christmas.

Children’s Photographers join in the holiday spirit by launching the “Giving is Awesome” contest December 1st

Winnipeg, MB, November 25, 2009: Most people agree their family portrait is among their most cherished heirlooms. But for some families, affording the opportunity for a professional photograph is lost in the struggle to pay bills. This holiday season, five local photographers are hoping to turn things around for five local families. In the spirit of giving, Paper doll Photography, Peekaboo Studio Photography, Artsy Fartsy Photography, Freckleface Photography and Karen Hunter Photography each pledge to donate $1000 in custom portraits to families who simply cannot afford them.

The initiative is part of a worldwide photographic effort called, “Giving is Awesome." Premier photographers from around the world have already donated over $565,000 worth of artwork in 2009. That number is expected to double in 2010.

Winnipeggers are encouraged to nominate a deserving family by visiting the participating photographer's blogs for complete contest details and emailing givingisawesome@mts.net. Nominators could also receive a photo package worth $250.

The contest opens December 1, 2009 and closes December 20, 2009 with the winners being announced Christmas Day.

Pink Topless?!

In case you did not know Bryan Adams has a side career as a fashion magazine photographer & has photographed the likes of Maggie Gyllenhall, Lindsay Lohen, Amy Winehouse, Cindy Crawford and so many more! So it comes to no surprise that he has photographed Pink! What does come to surprise is that Pink is topless in her shots!!!!! How did Bryan Adams get Pink to pose topless?? By dissing her shirt! As easy as that! lol

When asked how he got Pink to go topless, he answered: “I just said to her, ’I think that shirt isn’t great,'It was said very mildly said at the time: ‘Maybe we should just try to find something else.’ And she said, ‘Listen no one talks to me like that! Not even my husband!’ And off came the shirt.”

Yet Another New Barbie!

Wow--Mattel is really going nuts with this whole 50th anniversary of Barbie!!! First we had the new Palm Beach Sugar Daddy Barbie and now, we have the new Burka Barbie!



In her latest makeover, Barbie is dressed in a stylish vermilion head-to-toe burka with a mesh peep hole. She also shows off a similar lime burqa, as well as slightly less confining, traditional black hijab.

Actually, the Burka Barbie will not be sold worldwide... she is part of a 500-Barbie doll exhibition of international outfitted Barbies being auctioned by Sotheby’s to raise funds for Save The Children! The money will go towards the Rewrite the Future campaign which helps millions of children around the world effected by conflict.

Holiday shoppers are going nuts over Zhu Zhu Pets, tiny robotic hamsters that seem to do little else besides drive tiny metallic cars and make cute noises!!! They are basically the real thing without the mess!

Pool Shark!

I always wanted to be an awesome pool player! However, I don't know about you, but I seem to only get "pool shark" status as I get a couple more drinks in me! lol It's horrible to say, but so true! I'm sure I am not alone on this one; I think it's a question of needing to concentrate more when the amount of alcohol in your blood stream increases, hence the better play!!! If only my parents had taught me to play pool as a kid....

Xmas Lights...

Ok.. so I guess being 1 month exactly before the holiday season, it makes it perfectly acceptable to start decorating your house, BUT PLEASE -- as your neighbors, we have to look at your decorated house for the next month -- keep these rules in mind!!

1) Stick to a theme. I know it all looks good, it's hard to pick if you want to go with the creche or the reindeers, but Santa & Jesus are not a wedding social together, nor should be on your lawn!

2) If you start early, you end it early! After the first week of January, turn them off.

3) Inflatables. They are fun, original, easy to install -- until they are half deflated and makes Frosty looks like he really melted away! Keep up with them!

4) Moderation! Need I say more... not only will it help your electricity bill, but the whole neighbourhood will thank you for not making them feel like they live in Reno or Time Square!!

**Massive Crib Recall**

This is the picture released yesterday (Nov.23) by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission showing you the potential danger of drop-side cribs...



This is what urged the U.S. & Canada to do the biggest crib recall in North American history. After 110 reports of incidents and four infants dying from suffocation, more than 2.1 million drop-side cribs made by Stork Craft Manufacturing,sold from 1993 through October of this year (some 150,000 of them have the Fisher-Price logo) are being recalled. In Canada, they were sold through Sears and Wal-Mart. Yesterday, 2 models, Holly and Lily were still being sold.

The Stork Craft cribs have had hardware problems, and there can also be assembly mistakes by the crib owner, both of which can cause the drop-side to detach, creating a dangerous space between the side and the mattress where an infant can become trapped.

Consumer advocates have complained for years about drop-side cribs, and more than five million of them have been recalled over the past two years alone, so it is not a matter to take lightly. It is said that these drop-sides will be banned in the future.

Thank God for Lady Gaga!

Thank God for Lady Gaga! She was one of the many performers at the AMAs last night and I gotta say, probably the only one that can sing live! I don’t know if it was the room, the sound system or just that these people can’t sing without a studio equalizing their voices... Rihanna sucked, Alicia Keys truly disappointed, even Timbaland and Nelly Furtado couldn't step up… and let’s not even go there with Adam Lambert -- WHAT was that!?

Thank God for Green Day & Eminem (never thought I'd say that about Eminem); they sounded good!! However, the performance of the night went to Lady Gaga. No idea what she was wearing or thinking with those dance moves, but it was good and entertaining! Check it out:

Great Fundraiser - St Norbert Immersion School

Here are the details that you need....Please go if you can...it is such a great idea and these are GREAT kids to think of it

Here's the info:

A Fundraiser for "A dog named Jimmy" in memory of Cpl James Arnal,who died last summer, the 88th soldier to be killed in Afghanistan.

Details: A band concert, preformed by the HMCS Chippawa Military Band (and our 8th graders as well will be playing with them). Grade 5 students will be hosting a bake sale and they are also scrapbooking christmas cards to be sold at a dollar each, all proceeds from this concert will go towards this Charity.

When: November 24, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at St-Norbert Immersion School, in St-Norbert.

New Unseen Lady Gaga!

New unseen footage of Lady Gaga performing as an unknown has emerged - and it proves she's not just a pretty face and that she wasn't always the crazy chick we now know her to be!

She entered a talent contest in 2005 as brunette Stefani Germanotta -- composed two original pieces and then performed them on a piano. She has the beautiful brown locks and a classic gown (far cry from her costumes now) and I think I actually like her voice better here, singing those ballads!

Her performance of the songs Captivated and Electric Kiss blew away the audience and judges -- "Let's give it up. Technically, that girl can play. I'm going to give her demo to my record label. Norah Jones, look out."

Crazy skip rope!

This is nuts! I was tired after a minute of looking at them -- these girls are crazy jump-ropers! 3min in, they do this tandem jumping thing -- mind blowing!!! 4min in they are like 10 jumping with the same small rope!!! CRAZY!!!!

The Kings Firecrackers are performing at an army base and I am sure that the guys there are all thinking how these little girls have better cardio then them!!! The whole place goes crazy & are on their feet by the end of the video! Check it out:

Not exactly, but that's what the Etre Touchy FINGERLESS Gloves are made for!


It's pretty known that when using your iPhone, iPod, computer, or other touch-screen devices while wearing wooly type gloves or mittens, the device won't respond much, so allowing bare skin through makes the texting possible!
