The MTV Video Music Awards Recap

I don't love a lot of awards shows, but the MTV Video Music Awards make themselves the exception!

Awards-wise, we had:

Best Dance Video: Lady Gaga, "Bad Romance"
Best Collaboration: Lady Gaga, featuring Beyonce, "Telephone"
Best Female Video: Lady Gaga, "Bad Romance"
Best Rock Video: 30 Seconds to Mars, "Kings and Queens"
Best Male Video: Eminem, "Not Afraid"
Best Pop Video: Lady Gaga, "Bad Romance"
Choreography, Editing and Direction: Lady Gaga, "Bad Romance"
Special Effects: Muse, "Uprising"
Art Direction: Florence + the Machine, "The Dog Days Are Over"
Cinematography: Jay Z and Alicia Keys, "Empire State of Mind"
Best Hip Hop Video: Eminem, "Not Afraid"
Best New Artist: Justin Bieber, featuring Ludacris, "Baby"
Video of the Year: Lady Gaga, "Bad Romance"

And you can't forget, as with every year, the wicked performances!

Check them out including Eminem with surprise guest Rihanna, Justin Beiber (could it be...The Beibs is lip synching?!), B.o.B. with Hayley Williams followed by Hayley with the boys of Paramore and the very impressive and humbling returning of Kanye West.
