Need to spice up your vocabulary?

Do so with The New Oxford American Dictionary's "words of the year"!

Sitting as the chosen "one" of 2009 is "unfriend", a verb meaning to remove someone as a "friend" on a social networking site like Facebook, followed by:

- hashtag - a hash [#] sign, also known as a number sign, added to a word or phrase that allows Twitter users to search for tweets that contain similarly tagged items
- intexicated - distracted because of texting while driving
- birther - conspiracy theorist who questions whether President Obama was born in the U.S.
- funemployed - taking advantage of your newly unemployed status to have fun or pursue other interests
- tramp stamp - a tattoo on the lower back, usually on a woman

Most, if not all, are sure to raise some eyebrows, but keep things interesting when you pull them out at work tomorrow!
